Instead of using laminated Maple and building it like an archtop the Midtown starts off as a solid body guitar. This gives it a completely different tone and makes it the best choice for players after a classic look with modern tone.

Traditional Design & fast Neck. The Midtown Deluxe is perfect for Gibson purists looking for something new and interesting. A slim taper neck produced for speed and playability also provides a smooth and luxurious feel. With Grover tuners and a Graph Tech nut, this guitar offers superb tuning stability and some great tones. If you are a lover of shred you will be surprised at just how comfortable this guitar is to play.


Burstbucker Pickups. Designed with the original 50's and 60's PAF in mind Burstbucker pickups capture the classic Gibson sound. This guitar sounds warm and smooth but with a bit more bite than you might expect out of a hollowbody, partially due to the thick mahogany body compared to other semi hollow models and partially due to the unbalanced design of the pickups for the perfect midgain tone. 


The best of both the solidbody and semi-hollow worlds, the Midtown Deluxe covers the sonic spectrum, from hard rock to soft jazz with an elegant, upscale design. Ultra-playable and super-stylish, two matched Burstbucker pickups power the big, full sound with its hallmark smooth sustain and tremendous tone. Limited quantities!
