description

Distinctive elements include a special “open” internal body design and the unique combination of a DynaSonic™ single-coil bridge pickup and Lindy Fralin “Dogear” single-coil neck pickup. Features include a three-ply arched maple top with parallel bracing and double-bound F-holes, three-ply arched maple back and three-ply maple sides, two-ply body binding (white-black), two-piece maple neck, single-ply binding, polished brass nut, 9.5″-radius 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with western-themed cactus, steer head and fence pearloid inlays, single-ply headstock binding, translucent plexi pickguard with Gretsch® logo, G-arrow control knobs, compensated aluminum bridge with rosewood base, Bigsby® B6GBVF tailpiece, gold and polished aluminum hardware, and gold-plated Grover® V98G Sta-Tite™ tuners.

From a sonic standpoint, the Eddie Cochran Signature G6120 is a monster guitar. It has a Gretsch® DynaSonic in the bridge position and a Lindy Fralin P-90 in the neck position, and together the pickups give you an expansive palette of inspiring tones. If you want classic Gretsch twang, jangle, shimmer, and clarity, the DynaSonic will get the job done. By contrast, the P-90 gives you lots of warmer, richer, thicker sounds while maintaining excellent focus. In the middle position, they give you ridiculously full tone across the whole frequency spectrum.

While Eddie Cochran Signature's glorious sound grabs you at first, its addictive handfeel keeps you playing for hours and hours. Its C-shaped neck profile has a 9.5" radius, which works well for both chording and stringbending. Also, its 24.6 scale length means that there's a little less string tension, so the strings feel nice and slinky. The G6120 combines classic Gretsch playability with Eddie's distinctive modifications for a truly unique instrument. Includes hardshell case.
